Summer ’10 parts 1 and 2

Happy Summer everyone - the heat is definitely on here in Salt Lake (it took a while, but it’s here) so what better to do than sit by the AC vent and do some blogging.

This summer has been a busy one. Sage and Dave have been working to keep the design work flowing with not one, but TWO side projects

Sage and Rachel have been working on their T-Shirt business, Parisol Clothing, and were chosen to be vendors for the twilight concert series in Salt Lake - a great honor and a great chance to get some shirts sold.  They’ve also been working hard on a total front-yard revamp - hand cutting sod, laying garden beds, creating brick barriers, the works - and it’s finally paying off, because it looks sweet!

Though it hasn’t all been work work work.   Earlier in the Summer the family went down to visit Christy and Eric - enjoying the company of Ben and Caitlin, visiting Shamu in seaworld, watching a bike race, and reading by the beach.

Then, earlier this month, we went and visited Grandma Sandy and the girls in their new home, Bend OR.  What a cool place!  We enjoyed the riverfront, camping, canoeing, hiking, exploring the parks and downtown, and watching fireworks above the butte!

And Maebe has loved every minute of it.  She’s become her own little woman - full of spunk and attitude, talking non-stop and constantly making us laugh and smile.  What a blessing she is in our lives - we love you Maebe!  Thanks for making all of our summers a little brighter!
